Goodwin Therapy Owner

Gabriela Goodwin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner / Speech-Language Pathologist

Gabriela received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Texas in 2012. She began her career serving clients in the home health setting before founding Little Red Wagon Pediatric Therapy in 2016. In 2019, Gabriela rebranded the practice to become Goodwin Therapy Specialists. With the name change, the practice also expanded its treatment services to include myofunctional therapy, and to treat young adults needing additional support as they transition to college and/or the workforce.

When she’s not working to help our families reach their goals, you’ll find her chasing after her soon-to-be three-year-old and five-year-old around town, expanding her cooking skills (aspiring to be like her mom who is an amazing cook) or at home enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

JaNae Bryant, M.S., OTR​​

Occupational Therapist​

JaNae received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in December 2017. Before joining the Goodwin Therapy Specialists team, JaNae worked as a special education teacher in Birdville ISD for 15 years and was the co-owner of a snow cone stand. 

Since joining the team, JaNae has received specialized training in Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum, SOS approach to feeding, retained primitive reflexes and Tr-Eat model.JaNae was voted Top Occupational Therapist by ThreeBestRated in 2018 and 2019

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adopted daughter who has special needs, taking trips to the zoo and shopping.

Heather Brown M.S., OTR

Occupational Therapist​

Heather received her Master of science degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University in August 2016. Before joining the Goodwin Therapy Specialists team, Heather worked as an occupational therapist with a focus in pediatrics in Atlanta, GA as well as Denton, TX. 

Heather enjoys treating from a sensory integration approach and has received training in the astronaut program and Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT).

Mecee Thao, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist​​

Mecee received her undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas in Communication Disorders and Psychology. She moved to Texas to pursue her graduate studies in Speech Language Pathology at Texas Woman’s University. During her graduate career, she has worked with children with language disorders, speech delays, and apraxia in various settings. Additionally, she has experience working with adults who have had strokes, neurological deficits, and brain tumors in an outpatient setting and inpatient rehab facility. Currently, Mecee has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, early intervention, and adult patients with Autism, voice, fluency, and TBIs. She is PROMPT trained and has knowledge with AAC devices.

On Mecee’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, fishing with her husband, and watching her favorite shows.


Alicia Ingersoll M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist​​

Alicia received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. 

Alicia has worked extensively with pediatric populations in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, private practice, Early Intervention, Head Start, and schools. She has received specialized training in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), IAOM Orofacial Myology, Speech EZ Apraxia Program, Therapeutic Listening, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Throughout her career, Alicia coached and trained early childhood teachers, provided language and literacy seminars, co-created a Read and Play program for at-risk children and was awarded a Family Dollar Literacy grant.

Jenifer Fuller​​

Office Manager

Jenifer has been part of the Goodwin Therapy Specialists team since January 2018. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to greet our families. 

Jenifer is the go-to person for all things billing, insurance and scheduling. Previously, she worked as a supervisor and has experience helping create processes, developing team member training, monitoring productivity and resolving client complaints.
